Lisa Datz Virtual Audition and Performance Workshop

Uptown Music Theater of Highland Park is excited to announce our virtual audition and performance workshop, featuring Lisa Datz. Lisa has worked in all aspects of the entertainment industry including Broadway, film, and television, and is a Highland Park native. 

All proceeds from this workshop will be donated to The Actors Fund, providing desperately needed financial assistance and services to people in the performing arts community in these difficult times. 

This unique workshop will give participants the chance to perform their song or monologue, receive feedback from Lisa, and then perform the song or monologue again for our virtual audience. With the entertainment industry changing due to the pandemic, artists are now facing new technology interfaces and challenges, and this workshop is a great opportunity for performers to see what a virtual audition process is like. 

You will be asked to prepare a two-minute contemporary musical theater song, with your own accompaniment on your device, or a two-minute monologue.
