Join Wayfarer Theaters and Uptown Music Theater of Highland Park in the "Uptown Room" for an amazing cabaret experience:
"Sounds of the 60’s” is a high-energy live cabaret presented by Uptown Music Theater of Highland Park, a local professional theater company. Powerhouse vocalists from Uptown's cast of Hairspray (opening July 25th in Highland Park) will perform a joyful lineup of 1960s classics.
This is the first performance of “The Uptown Room” - a quarterly series that will transform Wayfarer Theaters into a lively cabaret space for an evening of unforgettable music. Come experience iconic hits, stellar voices, and the feel-good spirit of live music at this one-night-only event.
Tickets are $20 or Free with A Wayfarer Unlimited membership.
The cabaret features Hairspray cast members Morgan Barber, Ajene Cooks, Abraham Deitz-Green, Grace Hall, Constance Harris, Lily Ramras, Jordan Taylor, and Scott Spector.
Their performances will include songs like “Without Love,” “Welcome to the 60s,” “Good Morning Baltimore,” “It Takes Two,” “Run and Tell That,” “I Wish It Would Rain,” “The Boxer,” “Stupid Cupid,” “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “I Would Rather Go Blind,” and “Tell It Like It Is” with a few surprises still to come.
Music direction by Aaron Kaplan and piano accompaniment by Sachio Nang.
